New Jersey Pilot Car and Escort Vehicle Services
Quality pilot car services are crucial for the swift and cost-efficient transport of oversized loads in New Jersey. Nationwide Transport Services is the most suitable pilot and escort car provider. We are experienced and knowledgeable in the state's routes and regulations. We have served the Garden State for over a decade, regularly escorting over-dimensional loads along the state's interstates. Our drivers are highly qualified and certified and have extensive experience with the local routes. Our legal department handles each oversized load separately to ensure they meet the state during transport. We handle the acquisition of permits and police escorts where necessary. We also assist our clients with obtaining complementary services for cranes. In New Jersey, oversized permits are valid for five travel days after issuing by the New Jersey Department of Transportation. Loads coming from outside the state must have one before entering the state.
To meet our client's deadlines, our logistics specialists thoroughly study the proposed route's traffic patterns and check for any spots that may be too narrow or difficult to navigate. We plan the transports to avoid rush hour traffic, as oversized loads must leave the road if traffic backs up behind them. Railway crossings, bridge clearances, and overhead utilities are factors to consider when vetting potential routes. To help with these decisions, we conduct route surveys by traveling the entirety of the route in pilot cars.
