New York Pilot Car and Escort Vehicle Company

NEW YORK PILOT CAR ESCORT SERVICES

New York state has many dense urban metros, such as the cities of New York, Albany, Buffalo, Syracuse, and Rochester. Transporting oversized loads across urban areas can be a significant challenge, even for seasoned operators.  Our drivers have been operating in the state for years, mastering the local routes and challenging city traffic. Our services are flexible and easy to integrate into projects already in motion.  Our pilot cars will meet your load at any location across the state, urban, or remote regions and deliver them to local and out-of-state locations.

Pilot car service providers serve many purposes, including escorting oversized loads, conducting route surveys, acquiring permits and insurance covers, and working with law enforcement and utility companies. Transporting oversized loads within New York requires a permit from the state’s Department of Transportation. The permit lays out the conditions under which an oversized load can move to help maintain the safety and integrity of utilities and road infrastructure. Sometimes, we must conduct a certified route survey to obtain a permit. Our agents liaise with the customer to ensure permits and the necessary paperwork get done on time.
