UTAH PILOT CAR SERVICES
Moving oversized and overweight loads is a complex task that requires the correct equipment, expertise, and experience to ensure success and safety. Over-dimensional loads pose a danger to other motorists on the road as they may occupy multiple lanes or move at speeds below the limit. Navigating tight turns and rugged terrain is also complex with oversized loads. At Nationwide Transport Services, we employ the most knowledgeable drivers in Utah, who have extensive experience navigating the local state routes and terrain. Our pilot cars are in top-notch condition and have the latest safety features and equipment.
We meticulously plan each journey for our customers, conducting route surveys and obtaining the necessary permits and paperwork. Our legal department ensures every state and local district regulation is met. To ensure our client’s deadlines, our specialists consider several factors when choosing a route, including the weather, travel restrictions, and traffic flow patterns. The Utah Department of Transportation issues oversized permits, which are valid for five days. Operators must acquire one before entering the state, either from state line ports of entry or at interior ports if the driver calls prior for permission.
