Inbound Freight
Logistics Term
Inbound Freight Definition
Inbound freight means bringing all supplier's or vendors' materials into your business. The raw materials you get will depend on what your company produces. Inbound freight can involve finished products if you assemble or raw materials if you’re the manufacturer. That’s because inbound freight deals with everything your business needs to make the finished products you will eventually sell.
Inbound Freight - In The Field
Inbound freight will run well if you have a steady raw material supplier to produce the final product. You need raw materials to meet your output but not in excess, especially if you don’t have a warehouse to accommodate them. The best way to do it is to get the raw materials before you use them to ensure you fully utilize them.
