Despite being the smallest state, Rhode Island has a long-rugged coastline, making navigating oversized loads difficult. Our drivers boast years of experience navigating the state's tricky routes, guaranteeing a quick and safe transit for your load. Little Rhoddy is known for its vibrant boating scene, which we have been serving for over a decade, moving boats of all sizes across the state. We pick up and deliver your load to and from all 39 state municipalities, including Providence, Newport, Warwick, and Cranston. Our specialists plan and handle every step of the process for a smooth, effortless experience for our clients.
Pilot and escort vehicles are crucial for oversized transport, ensuring road safety and allowing minimal transit times. Our pilot car services include conducting route surveys, acquiring permits and insurance covers, and escorting the load during transit. The Rhode Island Department of Transportation is responsible for issuing oversized permits within the state. The permits are valid for five days, and the operating times are set from thirty minutes before sunrise to thirty minutes after sunset on weekdays, with no travel on weekends.
