TEXAS PILOT CAR ESCORT SERVICES
Route planning and employing pilot cars are the ticket to a safe and swift oversized load transport. Oversized loads are required to get off the road when traffic backs up behind them; hence, rush-hour traffic and high-traffic routes must be avoided where possible. Also crucial is choosing a route that calls for minimal paperwork and permits acquisition times. Nationwide Transport Services has a dedicated team of logistics specialists who will detail your oversized load journey for minimal delays. We also handle the acquisition of permits and insurance. We serve all of Texas, including Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, and Texas City. The Lone Star state has a booming petroleum and gas industry, which we have been serving for over a decade. Whether your load is heading for a local or out-of-state destination, let us handle it for you.
The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles regulates the movement of oversized loads within the state and issues oversized permits with a validity of three to five days. If an over-dimensional load is coming from outside the state, a permit is necessary before entering the state. As a part of the permitting process, we conduct a route survey for route planning and to identify overhead utilities, railway crossings, and any obstacles along the route. Oversized loads must stick to the route in the permit, and any changes might require a fresh permit.
