Vermont Pilot Car and Escort Vehicle Company

VERMONT PILOT CAR ESCORT SERVICES

Nationwide Transport Services is the most acclaimed provider of pilot car services in Vermont. We offer our services across all 50 states, which makes our interstate service smooth and free of delays and interruptions. Vermont is a mountainous state with rugged terrain and forests covering large swaths. The Green Mountain covers most of the central part of the state, which makes navigation across the state tricky. Shipping oversized loads in such conditions requires experienced drivers familiar with the local routes.

Pilot cars are a legal mandate for oversized and overweight loads if the permits call for them. The Department of Transportation specifies the number and type of escort vehicles required in the permits for each load. Vermont oversized permits are legally binding for ten days of travel and are necessary before an over-dimensional load enters the state. At Nationwide Transport Services, we have an expert legal team who ensures your load meets every state and local district regulation before transport commences. Route planning is a big part of services, given the geography of the Green Mountain State. Our specialists scout the route to ensure the road conditions are conducive to your load. They check for height clearances of bridges, underpasses, tunnels, and any overhead public utilities and railway crossings along the route.
