Day Cab

Logistics Term

What’s Day Cab?

A day cab is a heavy-duty truck without a sleeper cabin. They're cost-efficient and used to move loads over short distances and frequent trips. In addition, they're fuel-efficient because of their size, which also makes them ideal for maneuvering through traffic. Day cabs can either be single or double-axle. The double-axle model costs more and can transport more cargo than the single-axle. The size of day cabs varies, but the cab's length is about 20ft.

More About Day Cab Semi Trucks

Day cabs don’t have sleeping quarters but have back windows, making backing up and hooking the rig to a trailer simple. In addition, day cabs make it easy to transport heavy loads from one location to another. Day cabs are excellent for shipping freight over short distances and same-day delivery.
